PERINATAL & POSTPARTUM THERAPY IN SARASOTA, FLORIDA
Motherhood doesn’t have to mean doing it all alone.
Therapy rooted in connection, compassion, and space for the full experience of motherhood.
Who is supporting you through this chapter?
As a therapist and a mom of two, I bring both clinical experience and a personal appreciation for how much motherhood can ask of you. I also know that your experience is your own. Our work begins with understanding what this chapter has been like for you.
Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum can change your routines, relationships, body, and sense of identity. Alongside the practical demands, there may be feelings and expectations you have had little room to explore.
Your experience may also include fertility treatments, reproductive challenges, pregnancy or infant loss, difficult feeding experiences, or birth trauma. Whatever your path looks like, there is space here to talk about it.
Together, we can explore what is changing, make room for your needs, and support your connection to yourself and the people who matter to you.
What is perinatal and postpartum therapy?
Perinatal and postpartum therapy focuses on your emotional well-being during pregnancy and after birth. It offers space to explore worries, mood changes, relationship strain, and the adjustment to becoming a parent.
You may be preparing for a baby, navigating the early postpartum months, or finding that the emotional changes of motherhood continue as your child grows. You may also need room to process loss or a reproductive experience that unfolded differently from what you hoped.
We begin with what you are experiencing now. You do not need a diagnosis or a clear explanation of your feelings before reaching out.
You can love your life and still feel overwhelmed by it.

Interpersonal Psychotherapy focuses on relationships, changing roles, grief, and sources of support. We can explore how becoming a parent has affected your connections and what might help you feel more understood and supported.

When appropriate, we may use CBT and exposure-based approaches to address avoidance, checking, or repeated reassurance-seeking. We will discuss what the work involves and how it fits your particular experience.

When a pregnancy, birth, or reproductive experience continues to feel distressing, trauma-focused work may be part of our approach. We can discuss ways to process the experience while considering your readiness, current needs, and support.
